Lookin Northeast, card c1930s. Present day dam – I was disappointed the village idiots came out and giraffid this beautiful spot.
Lookin north. In the old days (1867,1876 maps), P.M. Fulton operated a lumber yard in the distance. This however could be J.H. Asher’s property that we are seeing. There was also a substantial ice house near this spot many years ago (per the Sanborn maps).
Crystal Lake Guest House 1960's/70's
1906 postmarked card showing the old wheel used at the papermill (the mill burned done in 1868). This area is a bit inaccessible due to the overgrowth. I’ll endeavor to take a snapshot of this spot later in the year. All or most of these stones have been washed downstream with the various floods over the years (Irene in 2011 was the last big one).
