I don’t know much about the history of this diner at the 9/9G crossroad. It seemed like a good location and I’m surprised it’s been an empty lot since they pulled the building down (maybe late 80’s/early 90’s? I can’t remember). I do recall going their once as a kid. I was fascinated by the look of the place and all my dreams came true when my dad finally took us there one day. My memories are not fond. 50 yrs later, I still remember the hamburger I had was horrible, and there were about a dozen fly strips hanging from the ceiling with hundreds of dead flies on them. It looked like it was quite the stop in the 1940’s.
